The Future at Stake: Controversy Surrounds Old Town’s Legacy

Players from Budućnost faced a tough loss at home against Stari Grad, finishing with a score of 16:15 in the regional A1 league.

The team from Belgrade celebrated their eighth victory of the season, keeping their winning streak intact.

This match marked Budućnost’s third defeat, and it was clouded with controversy as there was uncertainty about whether the game-winning goal by Nikola Bursać was scored after the shot clock had expired.

Bursać found the back of the net just four seconds before the game concluded.

Under the guidance of Aleksandar Aleksić, Budućnost fought hard to overcome Stari Grad’s lead, and they finally took control with Neđo Baštrica’s goal, leading 11:10 in the first minute of the final quarter.

With just 15 seconds remaining, David Stevović leveled the game at 15:15, but Bursać then sealed the match with his sixth goal.
