The preliminary data from MONSTAT indicates that Montenegro’s total foreign trade in the first 11 months reached 4.26 billion euros, reflecting an increase of 3.7 percent compared to the same timeframe last year.

According to MONSTAT, the value of exported goods was 546.7 million euros, representing an 11.4 percent decline relative to the previous year’s figures. In contrast, imports totaled 3.72 billion euros, marking a 6.4 percent rise.

“The ratio of imports covered by exports was 14.7 percent, which is a decrease from last year’s 17.7 percent,” the statement noted.

Within the export categories, mineral fuels and lubricants accounted for 129.3 million euros, as reported by Mina.

On the import side, machinery and transport equipment were valued at 896.9 million euros, which included road vehicles totalling 340.6 million euros among other products.

Serbia emerged as the largest trading partner for exports, amounting to 162.1 million euros, followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina at 36 million euros and Switzerland at 31 million euros.

For imports, Serbia again took the lead with 641.1 million euros, followed by China at 439 million euros and Germany at 368.8 million euros.

Trade within the Central European Agreement on Liberalization of Trade (CEFTA) and the European Union (EU) represented the most significant volume of foreign trade.
