The volleyball team from Budva is set to face the Finnish team Valepa tomorrow (18) at the Mediterranean Sports Center in the second leg of the CEV Cup.
In their previous encounter last week, Budva lost with a score of 3:0. With Vojin Ćaćić absent, Budva understands the necessity of a solid win—either by finishing with a clean sweep or conceding only one set—to secure a “golden set” to determine the overall winner of the match.
“We have to acknowledge that we didn’t display our capabilities on the road. Our performance was subpar, and we recognize the need to enhance our overall game. We faced several minor injuries and some illnesses, which hindered us, but I have faith that we will perform significantly better at home. We are prepared and motivated to give our best effort in front of our fans,” said Budva’s middle blocker, Luka Babić, ahead of the match.
This game is crucial for Miljan Bošković’s squad. If they progress, they will face Turkish Ziratbanka in the round of 16 of the CEV Cup. Otherwise, their journey in this season’s European competition will come to an end.
