Women’s Basketball Team Begins Preparations for Switzerland and Luxembourg Tomorrow
The Montenegrin women’s basketball squad will kick off their preparations for the final stage of EuroBasket qualifiers tomorrow.
During the February cycle, the Montenegrin national team is set to travel to Switzerland and will host Luxembourg.
The matchup against Switzerland is slated for February 6, followed by a home game against Luxembourg in Bar three days later.
So far in the qualifying round, both Luxembourg and Montenegro have achieved the same results within Group H (three victories and one loss), while Switzerland has recorded two wins and two losses, and the Bosnia and Herzegovina team has yet to secure a win in four outings.
Coach Jelena Škerović has previously released a roster featuring 16 players.
Players called up include: Milica Jovanović (Miskolc, Hungary), Bojana Kovačević (Hapoel Petah Tikva, Israel), Jovana Pašić (Hapoel Kfar Saba, Israel), Dragana Živković (without a club), Marija Leković (Fenerbahçe, Turkey), Sofija Živaljević (without a club), Maja Bigović (Budućnost Bemax), Zorana Radonjić (Budućnost Bemax), and Milena Bigović (Budućnost Bemax).
Also on the list are: Nikolina Ilić (Budućnost Bemax), Jelena Bulajić (Budućnost Bemax), Jovana Savković (Budućnost Bemax), Janja Dragišić (Budućnost Bemax), Jelena Vučetić (without a club), Sanja Akšam (Crvena zvezda, Serbia), and Nataša Mek (without a club).
The basketball team will convene in Podgorica and will then head to Bar, where they will train until Wednesday, when they plan to depart for Switzerland.
