Luka Bogavac Shines in Season’s Best Game as SC Derbi Falls in Belgrade

Prior to the game against Partizan, SC Derby expressed their desire for the match to be a launching point for them, aiming to make a positive impression in the “Belgrade Arena”.
It appears that the “students” accomplished this goal, as they put forth a commendable effort despite suffering a defeat against the “black and whites” with a score of 19:95 in the 80th round of the AdmiralBet ABA League.
SC Derby started strong, initiating an 8:0 run capped off by Zoran Nikolić’s free throws, giving them a 19:9 lead. Luka Bogavac then secured a three-pointer at the end of the first quarter, allowing them to reach their largest lead of 11 points at 22:11.
Partizan narrowed the gap to just two points (25:23) after a run of six consecutive points at the end of the first and the start of the second quarter, but SC Derby maintained their lead until the latter part of the second quarter, when Washington converted both free throws to make it 32:31.
As the first half concluded, Partizan took over, executing a 9:0 run that granted them a double-digit lead for the first time at 45:34.
From that point forward, Partizan managed the game effectively, with SC Derby attempting to make a comeback. The “students” got within two points again in the second half at 48:46, but Partizan responded, extending their lead to 59:49 and ultimately finishing with a maximum advantage of 18 points at 95:77.
Luka Bogavac was the standout player for SC Derby, scoring 24 points in what was his best performance of the season. Zoran Nikolić added 16 points.
For Partizan, Dwayne Washington led the scoring with 21 points, while Balša Koprivica and Karlik Jones contributed 13 and 12 points, respectively.
