Decline in the Number of Businesses Under Blockade in Montenegro
The Central Bank (CBG) has released a new list of companies with frozen accounts, noting that the count of 45 blocked firms is lower than in the previous report.
The updated list, which CBC publishes monthly per the payment law, includes 20,900 companies from the Central Register of Economic Entities (CRPS) and CBCG records. Out of the total blocked companies, 3,460 are listed in the CBM records but do not appear in CRPS, according to Mine reports.
As mandated by the Payment Law, CBG is required to disclose data related to the enforcement collection process, including information about entrepreneurs, their identification numbers, blocked accounts, and the duration of the account freezes.
The CBM clarified that the identification numbers for entrepreneurs are shared because they correspond to a unique parent number (JMB) in the Central Registry of Transaction Accounts of the Central Bank, and publishing the JMB is not compliant with the Personal Data Protection Act.
