Jovanović, Božović, and Radonić Cast Their Vote for Odžić with Three Fingers Up
Nikola Jovanović, the head of the political group “Budva Our City,” alongside councilor Mijo Radonić, raised three fingers during the voting last night for the election of Petar Odžić, a member of the SDP, as president of the Municipal Assembly.
Dejo Božović, who was the first to vote on the “Budva Our City” list, also held up three fingers.
During a tense six-hour constituent session, Jovanović, the sitting vice-president of the Municipality and a strong contender for the mayoral position, along with Radonić from the opposing bloc, the coalition “For the Future of Budva,” faced accusations of being “traitors” to the Serbian cause and the Serbian Orthodox Church. This backlash stemmed from their political alliance with the Democratic Party of Socialists, which enabled them to gain a parliamentary majority.
