“Future Firecracker: The Mastery of Milickovic”

A goal for the conclusion of their time in Antalya has been achieved by the Buducnost players, successfully meeting their objectives for the crucial phase of their preparations before the domestic season resumes.

Following a draw with Kazakhstan’s Kaisar (1:1) and a convincing win over Ukraine’s Zorya (4:0), Ivan Brnović’s squad showcased their skills in a high-scoring match against Polish second division side Termalica, defeating them 5:3.

Buducnost started strong, creating multiple opportunities, yet their opponent managed to take a brief lead of 2-1 with goals scored in the 2nd and 9th minutes. Nevertheless, this early advantage did not faze the leaders of the MeridianBet First League, as by the 42nd minute, they surged ahead to a 4-2 lead.

Adnan Orahovac closed the gap to 2-1 in the 31st minute, and Marko Milickovic, who assisted on the first goal, leveled the score at 2-2. Following him, Oliver Sarkic and Petar Grbic secured Buducnost’s lead further.

With a favorable score at halftime, Buducnost did not relent, continuing to create chances in front of the Polish goal. Even though not all were converted, a key moment came when Milickovic stretched the lead to 5-2 in the 53rd minute with a remarkable strike from the center circle.

Brnović utilized some substitutions for their final preparation match in Antalya, with the following players participating: Mijatović (60. Domazetović), Grivić (60. Adžić), Orahovac (46. Dakić), Tomašević (46. Serikov), Gašević (60. Vuković), Mirković (60. Perišić), Šarkić (60. Vukanić), Milicković (60. Đukanović), Grbić (60. Jovanović), Ivanović (60. Mijović), and Ivan Bulatović (45. Bojović).

The Podgorica team will return to Montenegro via Tirana today to resume their preparations for the season on February 3. They have a friendly match scheduled against Otranto Olimpik on February 8, and the second part of the season will officially kick off on the 18th, with Buducnost facing Iskra in the quarterfinals of the Cup. The showdown with Danilovgrad will be the precursor to the most significant Montenegrin derby, as Buducnost hosts Sutjeska on February 22.

Following the 19th round in the 1st CFL, the “blues” sit at the top of the table with 45 points, 12 points ahead of second-placed Petrovac, 15 ahead of Bokelj in third, and a remarkable 18 points above the reigning champions Dečić AdmiralBet, who have been training in Antalya since Monday.
