A Victory Against Juventud Would Secure 9-8 Records for Buducnost, Ulm, and Wolves Heading into the Final Round

The conclusion of the Eurocup’s first phase was filled with excitement, as Budućnost Voli’s basketball team prepares to compete for a playoff spot against two contenders: Ulm and Wolves.
Only one of these teams will secure a playoff berth.
In the 17th round of Group A, Ulm suffered a setback against Bahçeşehir (85:81), led by our very own Dejan Radonjić and Marko Simonović, leaving them with a record of 9-8. Shortly after, Wolves mirrored that record with a convincing win over Trento (96:70).
Consequently, if the Montenegrin champions triumph over Juventud in the pivotal match tomorrow at 19:00 at “Morača,” they will join these two teams in a three-way contest for a position in the top six of the group, thus advancing to the next round.
If that happens, Budućnost will determine its fate at the end of the group stage in Vilnius against Wolves.
Should Andrej Žakelj’s squad win both of their remaining matches, they have the potential to finish fifth, which could lead them to face a more favorable opponent from the other group, especially since Ulm is set to clash with the formidable Hapoel, who is vying for a direct spot in the quarterfinals.
In certain scenarios, they could even ascend to fourth place; however, this would require Besiktas to lose to Gran Canaria tomorrow and then to Trento in the last match at home, which seems rather unlikely.
For now, the priority is that Budućnost makes the most of their opportunity at “Morača” tomorrow.
