Biljana Papović will be the new State Secretary at the Ministry of European Affairs

Biljana Papović Appointed New State Secretary of the Ministry of European Affairs

Biljana Papović is set to become the new State Secretary at the Ministry of European Affairs, led by Maida Gorčević, according to information obtained by “Vijesti”.

As per the reports, the Government’s Personnel Commission has approved Papović’s appointment, which is expected to be discussed at the executive branch’s upcoming meeting on Thursday.

The position of State Secretary became available following Bojan Božović’s transition to Minister of Justice.

Papović served as an advisor on political systems and domestic policy to President Jakov Milatović until July of last year.

Prior to this role, she was the Deputy Executive Director at the NGO Center for Democratic Transition (CDT).

She holds a degree from the Faculty of Law.

Papović brings with her extensive experience in European integration, public administration, and electoral and judicial reform.
