The President of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, Nikola Kažić, and the President of the Volleyball Federation of Hungary, Gabrijela Vatai, have signed a cooperation agreement.

According to OSCG, this marks a significant elevation in the collaboration between these two esteemed organizations.

The agreement was formalized in Budapest and encompasses collaborative efforts involving national teams and clubs, along with the education of volleyball coaches and referees.

“I believe our countries share a comparable level of volleyball performance, with similar quality and operational methods, allowing us to work harmoniously to put our plans into action. I am confident that through joint initiatives, we can greatly enhance our national teams and improve coaching and officiating structures, leading to progress in volleyball in both Hungary and Montenegro,” Kažić stated.

He expressed particular satisfaction with Gabrijela Vatai’s remarkable energy and commitment as the newly elected president, emphasizing her desire to advance Hungarian volleyball.

“We share commonalities, which gives me confidence that we will achieve significant advancements for volleyball development in our respective countries,” Kažić added.

Gabrijela Vatai views this collaboration between the Volleyball Federation of Hungary and the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro as an exceptional opportunity.

“Since we are on equal footing, enhancing the potential for our national teams to participate in international matches is crucial. Our primary focus is on the development of youth and emerging athletes. We will jointly organize tournaments for younger generations, providing them with opportunities to compete at higher levels,” Vatai remarked.

OSCG further notes that, alongside Kažić, Nevena Terzić, a member of the Board of Directors of the Volleyball Association of Montenegro, was present at the ceremonial signing of the agreement.

“At President Vatai’s invitation, Kažić and Terzić also attended the gala ceremony held by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, where this year’s awards were presented,” concludes OSCG.
