Paul Defeats Tyson by Unanimous Decision
Young YouTuber and influencer, Jake Paul, secured a unanimous decision victory over legendary boxer Mike Tyson last night in Texas.
The judges scored the fight 80-72, 79-73, and 79-73, all in favor of Paul.
Throughout the match, Paul demonstrated his superior performance, highlighting the age difference between the two fighters. Tyson managed to hold his ground admirably in the initial two rounds, but by the third round onwards, it became apparent that he struggled to keep pace with the fight’s tempo.
“It’s an incredible honor. Mike Tyson is the greatest boxer of all time. He’s the GOAT. I look up to him, he inspires me, and I wouldn’t be here without him. This man is an icon, and it’s a privilege to fight him. It’s clear he’s the toughest and most dangerous man on the planet. It was as challenging as I anticipated,” Paul said in his post-fight remarks.
This fight marked Tyson’s first professional appearance since 2005. Reports suggest he earned approximately $20 million, while Paul reportedly earned double that amount.
“I’m content. I came here to fight. I wasn’t looking to prove anything to anyone but myself. I’m not the type of person who strives to satisfy the world; I simply do my best,” Tyson stated after the match.
