The President of the Pljevlja Municipal Assembly, Jovana Tošić, has announced that all daily allowances from official trips will be donated to humanitarian causes for the remainder of her term.

She has extended an invitation to her fellow colleagues, as well as local and state officials, to join her in this effort.

“I will be donating all my per diems from official trips until the end of my term to the ‘Be Humane’ Foundation, and I urge other colleagues and officials to follow suit. We frequently encounter appeals for funds from humanitarian organizations on social media, which serve as an urgent call for the Government of Montenegro and its relevant institutions to develop a better financing model for the treatment of children and adults suffering from rare and serious illnesses, one that goes beyond the limitations of the Health Insurance Fund of Montenegro,” Tošić stated.
