The Montenegrin Parliament has today approved the previous president of the State, Milatović, for reconsideration. This is part of the legislation deemed essential for implementing the “Europe USA 2” programs by the government.
This addresses the proposals for the Law on Contributions for Mandatory Social Insurance, as well as the Law on Excise and Value Tax, which President Milatović is now obliged to sign.
All three laws received majority approval.
Earlier in September, the Parliament of Montenegro had passed all necessary laws to facilitate the Europe USA 2 initiative, which was promoted by the ruling European movement, indicating that starting October 2024, all salaries and pensions would increase in January 2025.
Subsequently, Milatović returned the three laws to the MPs, as reported by the RTCG portal.
