Montenegro’s cadet and junior national team player, Staša Mitrović, is set to advance her career with the Serbian champions, Jedinstvo from Stara Pazova, under the guidance of Montenegro’s women’s senior national team selector, Jovo Caković.

This marks Mitrović’s first international transfer after starting her career with the “Budva” volleyball club, where she helped achieve a historic spot in the EPCG Superliga last season.

“When I received an offer from Jedinstvo Stara Pazova, I realized it was an opportunity I couldn’t decline, representing a pivotal step for my professional growth,” stated Mitrović.

Working with coach Caković holds particular significance for the young athlete.

“I believe that training under my new coach and his system will facilitate my adaptation to the national team, helping me become accustomed to this training methodology,” she remarked.

Mitrović is also a scholarship recipient from the Volleyball Association of Montenegro (OSCG). Last season, she was recognized as the best middle blocker in Montenegro’s cadet championship.

“I am eager to improve tremendously, driven by a strong desire to learn and develop. I envision myself growing into a better player with enhanced technical and tactical skills, contributing effectively to the team. Additionally, I am confident that collaborating with seasoned players and coaches will enable me to hone my abilities and progress in every aspect,” Mitrović concluded.
