Pioneer Women Begin Preparations for Initial Qualification Round

The women’s pioneer volleyball team of Montenegro has traveled to Stara Pazova to prepare for the upcoming first round of Zonal Qualifications for the U16 European Championship, which will take place from January 15 to 19 in Sofia.
This morning at the airport, Ksenija Božović, the director of the women’s national team of the Slovak Republic, bid farewell to our youngest volleyball players and their coaching staff, wishing them success in their preparations.
Our team will train until January 14, after which they will head to Bulgaria for the tournament, which will also feature teams from Turkey, Serbia, Greece, Romania, and the host country.
Nikola Radomirović and Andrea Laković will provide support to coach Petr Koković during this training period.
“I’m thrilled that all the players are fit and ready. This is our first training camp outside of Montenegro, and I’m pleased it’s taking place in Stara Pazova. With the guidance and preparation from our new coach Jovo Caković, we should be able to elevate our performance,” said coach Koković.
The first round of qualifications is organized within zonal associations, and the tournament winner will qualify directly for the European Championship. The remaining five national teams will enter the second round of qualifications, scheduled for April 24 to 27. A total of 11 teams will secure their spots in the European Championship: the top two teams from each of the five groups and the best third-placed team.
The European Championship for female pioneers, featuring volleyball players aged 16 and under (born in 2010 or later), will be held from July 2 to 13 in Tirana and Pristina, with 16 of the top teams from across the continent competing.
The roster includes technicians: Nađa Peković (Budućnost Volley) and Staša Jovović (Luka Bar);
service receivers: Elena Jovanović (Budućnost Volley), Mia Pođanin (Net), Sara Striković (Galeb), Jana Mrdak (Budva), and Jelena Ćorović (High School);
setters: Klara Đukić (Budućnost Volley) and Minja Mišević (Galeb);
middle blockers: Sofija Duletić (Budva), Bojana Krasnići (Budva), and Jelena Glušac (Albatros);
liberos: Anđela Rajović (Budva) and Andrijana Moračanin (Jedinstvo).
