Montenegro’s Customs Revenue Collection Reaches Ten Percent

The total customs revenue collected in Montenegro for the previous year reached 1.29 billion euros, which is an increase of 115.18 million or ten percent compared to 2023, as reported by the Customs Administration of Montenegro.
The revenue collection plan was exceeded by 18.6 million euros, reflecting a 1.5 percent increase.
“The Customs Administration has recorded a significant rise in customs revenue collection, which aids in boosting overall budget revenues,” stated a report relayed by Mina.
In terms of revenue composition, VAT from imports accounted for 851.62 million euros, showing an increase of 57.89 million or 7.3 percent compared to 2023.
“Excise duties amounted to 378.42 million euros, marking a rise of 49.1 million or 15 percent compared to 2023,” the administration clarified.
The revenue collected from customs totaled 60.42 million euros, reflecting a 15.7 percent increase. The coffee tax collection was 2.64 million euros, while other revenues stood at 184.16 thousand euros.
“The overall customs revenue collection for December of last year reached 109.24 million euros, which is an increase of 11.2 million, or 11.4 percent compared to 2023,” the administration specified.
Growth in collection was observed across all revenue categories.
