Mega transfers in volleyball are rare, but one player may soon change that narrative.
That player is none other than the best in the game, Italy’s Paola Egonu (26).
Interestingly, this isn’t about a transfer at all—it’s about her continuing with Milan! She is expected to earn a million for that commitment.
Unless unexpected developments arise in the negotiations, Paola is set to sign a new deal for the 2025/2026 season.
While there were discussions about a move to Vakifbank, as well as potential opportunities in China, Japan, and even the newly established professional league in the USA, none of those teams seem able to match the million-dollar offer…
It appears her current club has the means. As the Olympic champion with Italy, there is a strong possibility she will remain in Milan.
