The Norwegian Coach of Serbia’s Handball Team
The Serbian Handball Federation (RSS) has appointed Bent Dahl, a coach from Norway, as the new head coach of the women’s national team.
This decision was unanimously approved by the RSS management board, with Dahl set to lead Serbia through the World Cup qualifiers, and an option to extend his role thereafter.
“Bent Dahl is an exceptional expert with extensive coaching experience, which is exactly what our women’s national team needs to regain its momentum. We have confidence that he will provide a solid long-term solution, especially with the potential return of key players to our roster. However, our contract with him is only valid until the end of the World Cup qualifiers, after which we will conduct an analysis following the matches against Slovenia to determine the feasibility of extending his contract,” stated RSS General Secretary Ivan Milivojević.
Before this appointment, Dahl coached the women’s national team of the Czech Republic, and has previously managed teams in Hungary (Siofok), Romania (Valčea), and Norway (Skrim, Halvard, Opsal, and Drammen).
