There is no coach who hasn’t recognized his professionalism and versatility, whether he was in the starting lineup or coming off the bench – noted “Korijere delo Sport” regarding Adam Marušić, signaling a new contract for the Montenegrin national team player.
The Roman sports publication reports that one of the “senators” of Lazio is set to extend his contract with the “sky blues,” allowing him to stay in the Eternal City until he is 35 years old.
“Lazio has made progress towards renewing Marušić’s contract following a meeting between president Claudio Lotito and Uroš Janković, the Montenegrin player’s agent, where they reached a verbal agreement on a new deal,” “Korijere” announced.
The current contract of our football player is due to expire this summer, and the new agreement is expected to last until 2028. While the exact financial terms remain unclear, Marušić is currently earning 1.8 million euros including bonuses, and it is anticipated that the new contract will be around two million, possibly slightly more.
“I feel at home,” said Marušić in October, likely indicating his intention to stay with “Olimpik.”
It is well-known that he has always anticipated continuing his journey with the Roman club, particularly with this Lazio team led by Marco Baroni, who has designated him as one of the vice-captains.
“Marušić on the right, Marušić on the left, Marušić in the center,” he reminded “Korijere,” highlighting that the Montenegrin right-back is adaptable, playing wherever the coaches assign him.
Marušić joined Lazio in July 2017 and has consistently been one of the club’s standout players throughout the years.
