The transfer deadline for the EPCG Super League in both women’s and men’s volleyball concluded on January 15th, Wednesday.
Six clubs in the women’s volleyball league took advantage of this opportunity to strengthen their squads: Herceg Novi, Luka Bar, Morača, Akademija, Budva, and Jedinstvo. In the men’s division, Budućnost Volley and Sutjeska also made significant additions, as noted by Odbojka.me.
Herceg Novi’s champion team welcomed three new players: Dominican Geraldine Stephanie Gonzalez, Mia Nakajima Shafer from the USA, and Russian Evgenia Nizeva.
Luka Bar has made a notable addition with the signing of one of the region’s top volleyball players, Silvija Popović, from Lugoš, Romania. This move significantly elevates the quality of the team, positioning them as a primary contender against the team from Novalja.
Volleyball club Morača enhanced their lineup for the upcoming season with three new players: Tea Đurović from OK Top Volley, Anđelija Petrović, a former player for Rudar, and Sara Kavarić, who joined from Budućnost Volley.
The Academy has also secured a key player in Majda Čakar, who returns to the Tivat team after a half-season stint with Budva. Meanwhile, Budva has signed young talent Đina Lekić from her original club, Libero in Cetinje.
Jedinstvo from Bijelo Polje has improved its middle blocking position with the return of Dragana Rakočević from Galeb.
In the men’s division, Budućnost Volley has gained a major boost with national team player Ivan Zvicer returning to the squad after a six-year absence, while Milan Ugren has joined Sutjeska from Volley Star for the second half of the season.
