Illegal Landfills in Podgorica Cleared Over the Weekend

Employees from the Department of Cleanliness, Roads and Landfills have successfully cleared multiple illegal dumping sites within Podgorica.

The Capital City announced that the cleanup efforts took place near the Adžović House, at the Distribution Center, and behind the Livestock Market.

A total of 435 tons of waste were collected during this initiative.

“As the newly appointed city administration, our goal is to transform these identified problematic areas—known as black spots, landfills, and dumps—into more beautiful and inviting spaces,” stated Podgorica Mayor Saša Mujović.

He further mentioned that the Čistoća teams also cleaned Independence Square, which hosted the Podgorica Bazaar.
