Police Minister Saranovic: Suspects in Cetinje Massacre Took Their Own Lives

Interior Minister Danilo Šaranović announced that the suspect in the multiple murder case in Cetinje, Aco Martinović, has taken his own life.

Saranović reported that Martinović was discovered near his residence in Humci with grave injuries, subsequently succumbing to them.

– Aco Martinović, the suspect in the tragic incident in Cetinje, attempted suicide last night and died en route to the Clinical Center, “Saranović declared during an urgent press briefing in Cetinje.

Martinović is alleged to have killed at least ten individuals, injuring two more, before fleeing the scene.

The acting director of the Police Administration, Laraz Šćepanović, confirmed that Martinović inflicted a gunshot wound to his own head.

A minimum of ten victims, including two children, were reported dead on Wednesday in a mass shooting in Cetinje, while medical professionals at the Clinical Center in Podgorica are striving to save four survivors from Cetinje.

The assailant initiated his attacks at the Velecles’ tavern, located near the sports center at the entrance of Cetinje, where he killed four individuals in the city and at least seven more, including three women and two young siblings aged 10 and 13, according to reports from Montenegrin media.
