“Empowering Care: Japan’s Embassy Donates Ambulance to Nikšić Nursing Home”

The Nikšić Nursing Home has received a new ambulance from the Embassy of Japan in Montenegro, specifically designed for the transportation of immobile and semi-mobile users, valued at 41,300 euros.
“This vehicle was acquired through the ‘Popos’ project, for which we applied to the Embassy of Japan. It plays a crucial role in transporting users for emergency situations and specialist examinations that cannot be conducted at the Home. This is yet another project we’ve implemented this year that will significantly enhance the healthcare of our users. This vehicle is exclusively designed to provide all necessary medical assistance during transport, considering both space and equipment,” stated Jelena Banjević, the Acting Director of the Home.
According to her, the new ambulance is a testament to their commitment to prioritizing the health and quality of life of their users. She assured that this initiative will not halt the continuation of significant projects aimed at improving the situation for the institution’s users.
“In the past, the management of the Nikšić Nursing Home, under the leadership of Acting Director Jelena Banjević, MA, has made significant efforts in implementing various projects designed to enhance living conditions and quality of care for the 130 residents currently living in the facility,” the Nursing Home emphasized.
