Nenezić Disregards Citizens and the Resources We All Share and Fund Together
The Europe Now Bar movement has criticized the President of the Bar Municipal Assembly and Social Democrat (SD) MP Branislav Nenezić for “showing a lack of respect for citizens and the common resources that we all collectively fund.”
“Vijesti” reported today that Nenezić billed the Parliament of Montenegro for fuel expenses incurred while traveling from Bar to the session last August. Additionally, the travel order for the electric vehicle utilized by the Bar parliament’s head indicates that he also traveled to Podgorica on the same day.
“The Club of Councilors of the Europe Now Movement in Bar wishes to highlight the irresponsible actions of Nenezić, who not only borrowed the municipality’s official vehicle but also charged for fuel while using a private vehicle. This behavior demonstrates a disregard for citizens and the shared resources we all pay for. This incident is merely one among many instances of reckless conduct by Social Democratic officials, who, following the neglected interchanges and free housing, continue to leverage their power for personal gains instead of serving the interests of the community,” the Bar PES statement asserts.
They further commented that “it is not surprising that an official vehicle at the local level can easily become a private vehicle at the state level.”
“We want to stress that this behavior is intolerable and constitutes a blatant abuse of the trust placed in them by the citizens. We urge Mr. Nenezić to reimburse the payment for the official use since he is already charging for the usage of a private vehicle,” the statement concludes.
