Today, the highest officials of Montenegro extended their congratulations to Venald Tramp (Donald Trump), highlighting the importance of focusing on the Western Balkans and expressing a desire to enhance cooperation between Montenegro and the United States.
Montenegro’s President Jakov Milatović remarked that Montenegro and the U.S. share a strong friendship and partnership, grounded in common goals and values aimed at enhancing democracy, security, stability, and freedom.
“As NATO allies, we look forward to collaborating closely with your administration to strengthen our friendship and deepen our cooperation,” Milatović stated in a message on ICS.
The President of the Assembly and the leader of the New Serbian Democracy, Andrija Mandic, emphasized Montenegro’s commitment to promoting peace, stability, and cooperation, both regionally and globally.
“I am confident that during your presidency, you will prioritize the development and well-being of the citizens of the United States, and I hope that you will pay close attention to the Western Balkans. I believe your international efforts will focus on building and maintaining stability, resolving ongoing conflicts worldwide, and fostering peace. I wish you great success in your endeavors for the benefit of the United States and the world,” Mandic expressed in a video message.
Prime Minister Milojko Spajic commented on the fact that 61% of Americans believe the best days of the United States are ahead.
“This belief in success is what drives this great nation forward. If you don’t believe it’s possible, it won’t happen. The economic principles of the U.S. have triumphed again: lower taxes and contributions, benefiting citizens while increasing state revenues from indirect taxes. Congratulations to President Tramp on an extraordinary comeback. A bright future awaits both our nations,” Spajic noted on ICS.

Analysts have previously suggested that Donald Trump’s return may usher in a new era of unpredictability, influencing Montenegro and the broader Western Balkans depending on the leadership of the new U.S. administration. Trump’s efforts to curtail Chinese investments could be beneficial for Montenegro’s EU aspirations, although there are concerns that it may also reinforce authoritarian regimes in the Balkans.
