Montenegrin National Detained in Serbia on Charges of Domestic Violence

A Montenegrin national, identified as DM (48), has been detained in Serbia under an international warrant issued by the Interpol NCB Podgorica, as confirmed by the Police Directorate today.

According to the statement, DM is under investigation by the Basic Court in Bijelo Polje for alleged offenses related to domestic violence or violence within a family setting, as well as for attempting to obstruct an official in the execution of their duties.

“DM has been placed in extradition custody in Serbia, and ongoing communications are taking place between the law enforcement agencies of Montenegro and Serbia to facilitate the extradition process,” stated the Police Directorate in their release.
