The University Clinical Center of Serbia (UKCS) has reported that the condition of a girl injured in a car incident during a protest in Block 70, New Belgrade on Friday, is stable. She has been moved from intensive care to a standard ward.

According to the UKCS website, “The patient is awake, able to communicate, in generally good health, and is likely to be discharged within the next two to three days.”

The student, enrolled at the Faculty of Agriculture, sustained injuries during a traffic blockade on Jurija Gagarina Street in Block 70 when a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old woman collided with her. The driver has since been taken into custody.

The driver has been ordered to remain in detention for up to 48 hours, as she is suspected of attempted aggravated murder.
