“I Prefer to Include a Goalkeeping Coach in the Roster”
Marcus Rashford has fallen out of favor with Ruben Amorim. After netting three goals in the first two matches of the Portuguese manager’s tenure—against Ipswich and Everton—the English striker has been benched and has not found the net since.
Following last night’s match, which resulted in a 1-0 victory over Fulham, Amorim addressed Rashford’s current situation with a compelling statement.
“I would prefer to field a 63-year-old goalkeeping coach, Vital, than to select a player who fails to give their all every single day. Someone who doesn’t put in maximum effort during training, in life, and in every aspect,” Amorim remarked when questioned about Rashford’s absence.
Rashford’s contract is set to expire in 2028, and there have been rumors regarding his potential transfer to Milan. However, that move did not materialize, and both Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona have shown interest in acquiring him.
Manchester United will face Crystal Palace in their next Premier League fixture.
