The 26th BVA General Assembly Convenes
The 26th General Assembly of the Balkan Volleyball Association (BVA) took place today in Tirana, with 10 out of 11 member nations represented. The session was presided over by Erlind Peljumbi, who serves as the President of the Albanian Volleyball Federation and is also a former President of the BVA.
Montenegro’s delegation included President Nikola Kažić and Ivan Bošković, the Secretary General of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, who is also a member of the BVA Technical Commission.
Notable attendees included CEV President Roko Sikirić, CEV First Vice President Ivan Knežević, CEV Director Vuk Karanović, Croatian Football Federation President Frane Žanić, and Croatian Football Federation Director Valentina Biflin.
The BVA Assembly has adopted several significant resolutions concerning future competitions, particularly for the following categories:
U21(M) – players born on or after January 1, 2005
U21(W) – players born on or after January 1, 2005
U19(M) – players born on or after January 1, 2007
U19(W) – players born on or after January 1, 2007
U16(M) – players born on or after January 1, 2010
U16(W) – players born on or after January 1, 2010
In a unanimous decision, the assembly agreed to relocate the headquarters of the Balkan Volleyball Association to Belgrade.
Additionally, Milutin Popović, President of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was elected as the new President of the BVA, with Đorđos Karampecos, President of the Hellenic Armed Forces, taking on the role of Vice President.
The 27th General Assembly of the BVA is scheduled to take place in January 2026 in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
