The handball teams Buducnost and Đera will play tomorrow (18 p.m.) the 11th round match of Group B of the EHF Champions League.

The first duel between the two, played on October 6th in Podgorica, ended in a draw 23:23.

Pivot Klara Monti Danielson said she expects a demanding match, but also believes that using the Podgorica recipe, they can “steal” at least a point from Djer, even on the road.

“It’s going to be a very tough match. They have a lot of great players and despite having a couple of injured girls, the rest can replace them. We took a point from them in Podgorica and of course now we believe we can do it away. We won against Vipers and we just need to continue to believe in what we’re doing. When we have energy and discipline we play very well,” said Danielson.

With the elimination of Vipers, the battle for sixth place and a place in the round of 16 has become open again – Buducnost and Rapid will fight for the last ticket to the knockout stage.

Currently, the Romanian club is in a better position considering that it has two points more than Buducnost, as well as a victory over the Podgorica team in Bucharest (32:27).

“Of course we believe. For now, we are two points behind Rapid. We believe we can beat them in the last game, but before that we need to take at least one or two points. We would like to find ourselves in the knockout round,” concluded Danijelson.

Pivot Ivana Godeč emphasized that it is always more difficult to play against Đero away from home because the audience gives the home team a lot of support.

“It’s unnecessary to even talk about Đero. They have three of the best players in each position. We’re sure to have a tough game there because the crowd is an additional motivation for them and it’s always harder to play against them when they’re the hosts,” said Godeč.
