Officers of the Podgorica Security Department solved nine thefts and prosecuted seven people, the Police Directorate announced.

Police said that GN (35) was arrested on suspicion of committing the crime of theft.

It is suspected that on January 17, together with another wanted person, he stole several tools from an auxiliary building owned by the injured party.

The statement states that they sold the tools to an unknown person and used the money for personal needs.

The GN, as the police said, was forwarded to the acting state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica for further jurisdiction.

“Also, on suspicion of committing three criminal offenses of aggravated theft, to the detriment of two business and one catering facility in Podgorica, the police arrested SA (26),” the statement said.

He is suspected of stealing more than a thousand euros from these facilities.

Officers of the Podgorica Security Department filed criminal charges against TS (22) and AC (19) with the competent prosecutor’s office in Podgorica, on suspicion of stealing cosmetic products worth over 300 euros from a business building.

The police said that three 17-year-old minors were also processed on suspicion of committing four criminal offenses of vehicle theft, to the detriment of several people from Podgorica.

“Namely, it is suspected that these minors, from September 8 to January 20, stole three and attempted to steal another vehicle owned by the injured parties,” the statement says.

It is stated that officers of the Podgorica Security Department found the vehicles in a short period of time, after which they returned them to the owners.

As the police said, criminal charges were filed against these three individuals at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica on suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of vehicle seizure.

“Officers of the Regional Security Center will continue to undertake intensive activities in the coming period, with the aim of creating a favorable environment for the life and work of citizens, to prosecute perpetrators of property crimes,” the statement said.
