Porto Welcomes a New Coach
Martin Anselmi, an expert in Argentine football, has been appointed as the new head coach of Porto, as officially announced by the club.
Anselmi’s primary objective is to guide Porto into the knockout rounds of the Europa League. Currently, Porto is ranked 25th, with the top 24 teams qualifying for the next phase.
He has signed a contract with Porto that extends until June 2027.
Porto currently holds the third position in the Portuguese league.
Anselmi is also set to coach Porto at the Club World Cup taking place in the United States at the end of the season, where Porto will face off against Palmeiras and Al Ahli in the group stage.
Prior to this role, Anselmi managed Cruz Azul starting in December 2023, and has also coached Independiente and La Celara.
