One Arrested in Tuzi After Marijuana Discovered

Authorities apprehended EA (29) in Tuzi, where he was found in possession of approximately 16 grams of marijuana, believed to be intended for illegal sales on the streets.
“Border Police Sector officers, acting within their jurisdiction, processed two individuals for drug-related offenses. Specifically, during a routine check, officers from the Border Police Station I Podgorica discovered four PVC packages containing a plant substance resembling marijuana, weighing around six grams, on the person identified as RB (42). Following further investigations aimed at identifying those involved in street drug sales, police in Tuzi arrested EA (29), who had multiple PVC packages containing about 16 grams of a green plant substance similar to marijuana, suspected of being intended for street distribution,” stated the Police Directorate.
Upon the directive of the State Prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica, EA was taken into custody and charged with the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession, and distribution of narcotic drugs. Additionally, police filed a misdemeanor charge against RB for violations under the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse.
“Police Directorate officers are actively engaged in efforts to detect and mitigate criminal activities related to drug abuse and trafficking, aiming to dismantle street-level drug sales networks, enhance public safety, and protect the health of citizens,” the statement continued.
